Black Friday offers / Future plans

Postby DPSoftware » Sat Nov 18, 2017 6:06 pm

As our next version Windows Publisher edition is still being worked on, we have some Black Friday offers for those wanting to upgrade. As upgrades come with 2 years of updates if purchased this year, you can be sure to get the new version when available. Of course you will get the current publisher version download within 24 hours of your order.

To find the offer price for upgrading your version to publisher, choose "Purchase add-ons" from the Help menu of the program from now until the end of Black Friday
For those who already have Publisher, there is an offer for lifelong upgrades.

Changes will include a more realistic display based on actual stitching of hundreds of colours. Also ability to browse through layered objects in the design and edit them whilst still in place.

Not yet available for Mac OS X

Changes for 2018
==============
Programs and upgrades come with 1 year of updates instead of 2 and an update subscription can optionally be purchased at the same time as the product
No immediate plans for price changes. Most prices have remained the same for years.
Users without an update subscription or remaining years of updates will need to purchase a version upgrade to regain access to updates. It will no longer be possible to wait several years and then buy a single year of updates to get the latest version.
We will begin selling update subscriptions for Mac users wanting the latest versions. We held off charging while the product came up to standard.

There is already a dual Windows/Mac Plus edition for new users wanting both - either as download or on CD/USB from the UK store.

A free pattern viewer and a full design program are being worked on for iPad

If anyone is interested in a Linux version, please let me know as it is under consideration.

The Mac version will go multilingual.

Leave any suggestions for new features in the suggestions box of the discussion forums so they get added when we are working on new versions
