font size changing on pdf

When A pdf is made using the - sign as one of the symbols all the symbols on the page after the - sign are printing at half their normal size the next page symbols will be normal again until another - sign is encountered please help

I am currently in trinidad and do not have a good Internet connection. I will investigate when I return on 8th. If it is the Acrobat reader that is interpreting these characters as size changes then the only solution will be to remove this symbol or not use it for pdf creation. If it is a problem with the pdf generation then it should be possible to find a solution.

This problem has been traced to the internal pdf generation engine which I license from another company. I tried the latest upgrade but it caused more problems than it solved so I have referred it to their technical support. If they don't produce a solution then I have licensed the source code so I can look at it myself - but much better if they produce an official fix so that it remains in all future versions. Until it is fixed, avoid using this symbol on charts that will be converted to pdf format.

The latest update should solve this. It was resolved first with the original pdf engine and this is what has been uploaded. Now the new pdf engine is also working and this will be included in the next update.
